Parrish Walker
Gaining my B.A in Early Childhood Studies
Welcome! My name is Parrish Walker, and I have always had a passion for working with children. I specialize in preschool-aged children, ages 3–5. I am passionate about helping young children learn and grow. My inspiration began when I was 15 years old and spent a summer preparing my younger sister for kindergarten. As her older sister, I created simple lesson plans and worked with her on reading and writing skills. When she started kindergarten, her teacher was impressed by how prepared she was and shared that she was performing above expectations for her age.
That experience showed me the positive impact that early learning and dedicated teaching can have on a child's success. It inspired me to pursue a career in early childhood education and continue building my knowledge and skills as an educator. By earning my bachelor's degree, I hope to expand my understanding of child development, strengthen my teaching practices, and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families.
